We help organisations plan, build, and modernise the physical and logical foundations their business depends on — datacenter networks, high-availability compute and storage, and disaster recovery that holds up under audit and under fire.
The hyperscaler era did not make datacenters disappear — it made the ones that remain more strategically important. Latency-sensitive workloads, regulated data, deterministic cost profiles, and sovereignty requirements continue to drive serious infrastructure decisions back into private and colocated environments. PeakIT helps organisations make those decisions deliberately and operate them well.
We work across the full stack: physical layout and cabling considerations, top-of-rack and spine-leaf design, routing and switching, storage fabrics, virtualisation, bare-metal container platforms, and the operational tooling that ties it all together.
We design and validate modern datacenter fabrics — including routed spine-leaf topologies, integration with campus and edge networks, segmentation strategies, and overlay networks where multi-tenancy or stretched layer-two is required. Designs are documented, peer-reviewable, and bound to operational runbooks rather than living in someone's head.
We architect high-availability clusters that match the actual recovery objectives of the workload — from shared-storage hypervisor clusters to software-defined and cloud-native storage platforms, and traditional SAN and NAS integrations where required. Capacity planning, failure domains, and rebuild behaviour are part of the design, not an afterthought.
We define and test disaster-recovery strategies that align with stated RPO and RTO targets, including multi-site replication, immutable backups with object-storage tiers, and runbook-driven failover exercises. We have helped teams collapse stated-versus-actual recovery-time gaps that had quietly grown for years.
We build migration roadmaps that begin with the workload, not the destination — so that each move is justified by economics, latency, sovereignty, or operational fit. That includes targeted cloud migrations, deliberate repatriations from cloud back to private infrastructure, and the hybrid patterns that increasingly dominate enterprise estates.
We automate provisioning end-to-end: network-based bootstrap pipelines, image-based operating-system deployment, out-of-band management integration, and infrastructure-as-code for the network and storage layers. Adding a rack should be a code change, not a week of work.
We instrument the physical and logical layers with the same rigour as the application layer: switch telemetry, host and adapter metrics, storage and fabric data, environmental sensors, and correlated views across the estate.
Engagements typically take one of three shapes: an architecture review that produces a written assessment and remediation roadmap; a build and transition programme where we deliver alongside your team and hand over with full documentation; or an ongoing advisory retainer for high-stakes change windows, audits, and major upgrades.
